The VIDEONOW™* COLOR FX Personal Video Player is a handheld, portable device designed for playing kid-friendly "mini" (108 mm) Personal Video Discs (PVDs). It offers a vibrant and stylish way to enjoy a wide variety of high-quality videos on the go. The player comes in a burst of colors, combining high-tech functionality with a fashionable aesthetic, making it a part of your personal style.
The primary function of the VIDEONOW™* COLOR FX Personal Video Player is to play personal video discs. It is specifically designed to work with VIDEONOW PVDs, including both black & white and color PVDs. However, it's important to note that black & white PVDs will not play in color on this device.
The player features a screen for video display and integrated controls for playback management. It includes a speaker for audio output, and a headphone jack is provided for private listening, though headphones are not included with the player. For car use, a VIDEONOW Color Car Adaptor (sold separately) can be plugged into the DC Power Jack, bypassing the need for standard batteries.
To begin using the player, first ensure batteries are properly inserted. The player requires three 1.5V "AA" or LR6 size alkaline batteries. A Phillips/cross head screwdriver is needed to loosen the screw on the battery compartment cover. Once the batteries are in place, replace the cover and tighten the screw.
To open the player, press the "Open" button. Insert a PVD into the player, similar to a standard compact disc, ensuring it snaps securely onto the center spindle. Gently close the lid until you hear a click. To remove a PVD, place your forefinger on the center spindle while your thumb rests on the edge of the disc, then gently lift the disc up and out of the player.
