Why is my Haskel Water Pump not cycling and has audible air leakage at the air exhaust port?

If your Haskel Water Pump isn't cycling and you hear air leaking, the issue might be due to a few reasons. It could be that the drive air volume is restricted, so try increasing the air line size. Another cause might be a damaged or undersized drive air o-ring P/N 56225, possibly due to age, in which case you should replace it. Also, check the spool o-rings P/N 546285 for wear or damage and replace them if needed.

What to do if Haskel Water Pump will not cycle and there is no audible air leakage at air exhaust port?

If your Haskel Water Pump isn't cycling and you don't hear any air leakage, it could be due to several reasons. First, the cycling spool might be stuck because of contamination; try removing the spool from the upper cap, cleaning, inspecting, relubricating, and reinstalling it, and also check the drive air filter. Second, the drive pressure might be too low, so ensure it's at least 25 psi. Lastly, the pilot valve stems could be too short or reversed; replace them or make sure that 27375-5 and 27375-3 are in the correct locations according to the assembly drawing.

What to do if Haskel Water Pump has false cycling action?
    • K
      kelly77Aug 20, 2025
If your Haskel Water Pump is false cycling, with air continuously leaking at the vent port in the upper air cap, or rapid “puffing” of pilot air out the vent hole in the hydraulic cap, it could be due to pilot air loss past the dynamic o-ring 568115-2 on the spool, so replace the o-ring. Another cause could be a damaged seat on pilot valve 27375-5 or a broken 16513, so replace those.

Why is my Haskel Water Pump not cycling (or short cycling) and leaking air at the pilot vent hold lower cap casting?
    • J
      Jamie GonzalesAug 25, 2025
If your Haskel Water Pump isn't cycling properly and you notice air leaking at the pilot vent hold lower cap casting, the issue could be a damaged seat of pilot valve 27375-3 or a broken spring 57324, so consider replacing these parts. It's also possible that the pilot valve springs are reversed; make sure they are installed correctly, noting that 57324 is lighter.

What causes excessive pulsation or output pressure in a Haskel Water Pump?
    • A
      allisonmelindaAug 27, 2025
Excessive pulsation or output pressure in your Haskel Water Pump can be caused by a damaged outlet check valve. Inspect, repair, or remove any contamination from it.

What causes liquid blowing out of the muffler of my Haskel Water Pump?
    • J
      Jennifer MorrisonAug 31, 2025
If liquid is blowing out of the muffler of your Haskel Water Pump, it is likely due to a damaged or worn plunger seal. Replace the seal to resolve this issue.

Why won't my Haskel Water Pump stall against a blocked system, or why won't it prime?
    • C
      Christina FuentesSep 4, 2025
If your Haskel Water Pump won't stall against a blocked system or won't prime, the inlet check valve may be damaged. Inspect it, repair it, or remove any contamination.

What causes diminishing output flow with constant conditions in Haskel Water Pump?
    • J
      Jean DurhamSep 8, 2025
If the output flow of your Haskel Water Pump is diminishing despite constant conditions, it could be due to leakage in the inlet check valve. Inspect the inlet check for damage or contamination, and then clean and repair it.
