Overview

The Hathaspace HSE1500 Harmony 1500 is a floor-type HEPA air purifier designed to improve indoor air quality by capturing airborne particles and absorbing odors and gases. It utilizes a 4-in-1 air filtration system to ensure comprehensive purification.

Function Description:

The primary function of the HSE1500 is to purify the air in indoor environments. It achieves this through a multi-stage filtration process that targets various types of airborne pollutants. The device is equipped with a particle sensor that intelligently detects air quality and can automatically adjust its operation based on the detected levels. This allows for efficient and responsive air purification, adapting to changes in the surrounding environment. The air purifier also features a timer function, allowing users to set specific operating durations, and a child lock to prevent unintended changes to settings.

Usage Features:

The HSE1500 offers a user-friendly control panel and LED display for easy operation and monitoring.

  • Control Panel: The control panel includes several buttons and indicators:

    • Power button: To turn the unit on or off.
    • Four Speed button: Allows adjustment of the fan speed through four levels (1, 2, 3, 4) and a Sleep mode (SLP). In Sleep mode, the display shows "SLP," other indicator lights are off, and the SLP indicator light is automatically adjusted to half brightness for minimal disturbance.
    • Brightness adjustment: This button controls the brightness of both the air quality indicator light and the LED display. It offers multiple levels of brightness (0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%). When the air quality indicator light is set to 0%, the LED display still shows 10% brightness. The brightness setting is not memorized by default, but users can long-press the brightness key for 3 seconds to set a memory brightness.
    • Filter reset: After 3000 hours of use, the unit will remind the user to replace the filter. This button is used to reset the filter timer after replacement.
    • Auto mode: This button allows switching between PM2.5 and AQI display. In Auto mode, the fan speed automatically adjusts based on the detected air quality.
    • Timer function: Sets the operating time to 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours.
    • Child lock: A long press of this button for 3 seconds activates or deactivates the child lock function.
  • LED Display: The LED display provides crucial information about the air quality and device status:

    • Fan Speed Indicator: Shows the current fan speed (1, 2, 3, 4, or SLP).
    • Time Indicator: Displays the remaining time if the timer function is active.
    • Eco mode indicator: When lit, the unit is operating in energy-saving Eco mode. This mode activates when the PM2.5 count is below 35 for 30 minutes or AQI is above 80%. The motor stops for 10 minutes, then runs at speed 1 for 10 minutes. If PM2.5 rises above 35ug/m³, Eco mode deactivates.
    • Auto Mode Indicator: Indicates when the unit is operating in Auto mode.
    • Filter Reset Indicator: A red light that blinks to remind the user to replace the filter.
    • Child Lock Indicator: Shows when the child lock is active.
    • AQI Indicator: Displays the Air Quality Index percentage.
    • PM2.5 Indicator: Shows the PM2.5 concentration in µg/m³.
    • PM & AQI Display: The display can show either PM2.5 or AQI, selectable via the Auto button.
  • Air Quality Indicator: The device features an air quality indicator that changes color and adjusts fan speed based on the detected air quality:

    • Excellent (Green): PM2.5 ≤50 µg/m³ / AQI 72.5%-100% (Speed 1)
    • Good (Blue): PM2.5 51-100 µg/m³ / AQI 62.9%-72% (Speed 2)
    • Fair (Yellow): PM2.5 101-150 µg/m³ / AQI 55.1%-62.8% (Speed 3)
    • Poor (Red): PM2.5 >150 µg/m³ / AQI 0.0%-54.9% (Speed 4)
  • Particle Sensor Modes: The particle sensor enables three operational modes:

    • Manual Mode: Allows users to manually adjust the fan speed from 1 to 4 based on their needs and the air quality indicator.
    • Auto Mode: Automatically purifies the air by adjusting fan speeds based on the air quality detected by the sensor.
    • Eco Mode: An energy-saving mode that uses up to 50% less energy. In Eco mode, the unit automatically turns off and checks air quality every 10 minutes.

Maintenance Features:

Proper maintenance is crucial for the optimal performance and longevity of the HSE1500.

  • Cleaning the Unit:

    • Always turn off and unplug the air purifier before cleaning.
    • Use a soft, clean cloth to lightly wipe dust from the unit. For more stubborn dirt, a clean damp cloth can be used, followed immediately by a clean dry cloth.
    • Avoid using alcohol, oil, or benzene for cleaning.
    • Never immerse the unit in water.
  • Replacing the Filter:

    • The Hathaspace filter is a 4-in-1 composite filter that includes a Polypropylene Pre-filter, a Pre-filter, an Activated Carbon Filter, and an H13 HEPA Filter. These filters cannot be reused, cleaned, or washed with water after use.
    • To maintain purification performance, it is recommended to replace the filters every 4 months or 3000 hours.
    • Only certified HARMONY 1500 replacement filters should be used for the HSE1500.
    • Replacement steps:
      1. Unplug the air purifier from the electrical outlet.
      2. Twist the bottom panel counterclockwise to remove it.
      3. Remove the old filter and dispose of it properly, as it is not recyclable.
      4. Remove the new filter from its packaging and insert it into the air purifier.
      5. Turn the bottom panel clockwise to tighten it.
      6. Place the air purifier back on the floor and plug it into the electrical outlet. The unit will automatically begin cleaning the air.
      7. After replacing the filter, it is essential to long-press the "Filter Reset" button for 5 seconds to reset the air purifier's filter timer. Failure to do so will cause the filter light to continue blinking.
    • The actual filter replacement frequency may vary depending on the unit's service length and the prevailing air quality.
  • Particle Sensor Maintenance:

    • The particle sensor assesses air quality through small holes on the outside of the unit. To ensure continuous and accurate operation, these holes should be kept clean using a soft brush to prevent particle build-up.
