Vehicle equipment
Please note that this manual contains all
the standard equipment, country-specific
equipment and special equipment for this
model series. Thus, some equipment or
features described in this manual may not
be installed onto your vehicle or are only
available in some markets. For further
configuration information, please refer to
relevant sales information or consult with your
distributor selling the vehicle to you.
System overview
The power management system monitors the
power consumption of each electrical device
within the vehicle and distributes power
appropriately so as to improve the start-up
performance of vehicle and prolong the life of
the battery.
The power management system has the
following main functions:
Monitoring the 12V battery
The voltage, current, and temperature of the
12V battery are continuously monitored by
sensors, allowing residual charge and the
health status of the battery to be calculated.
Power management when the vehicle is
powered off
While continuously monitoring the parked
vehicle, the power consumption of each
electrical device is gradually shut down
according to battery monitoring information,
to avoid the 12V battery becoming excessively
discharged and to guarantee the start-up
performance of the vehicle.
Power management when the power
battery is off
While continuously monitoring the vehicle
when it is not running, the power consumption
of each electrical device is gradually shut down
according to battery monitoring information to
avoid the 12V battery becoming excessively
discharged and to guarantee the start-up
performance of the vehicle.
Dynamic Power Management
Continuously monitor the power consumption
of each electrical equipment during the
driving of the vehicle, and distribute the
power generated by 12V battery to different
electrical equipment as needed. When the 12V
battery output more power than the demand
of the electrical equipment, the dynamic
power management system will regulate and
supply power to the battery to allow it to
reach the optimum charging status.
Notice
The power management system is unable to
change the laws of physics.
Note that the output and lifespan of the 12V
battery are both limited.
Things you should know
The power management system will give
priority to vehicle performance once started.
Short journeys, urban driving and low
environmental temperatures increase electrical
energy consumption and reduce the 12V
battery power available.
If the vehicle is not started, due to 12V battery
not being able to boost the supply of electricity,
if an electronic device is in use, it will draw
electrical energy directly from the 12V battery.
Under such circumstances you will notice the
power management system coming into effect
and restricting electrical supply and allocation.
