Parking for long periods
If you do not drive the vehicle for several days
or weeks, the power management system will
gradually shut down or reduce the electrical
supply to electrical devices, thus reducing
power consumption and helping to prolong and
maintain vehicle performance once started.
If the vehicle remains parked for a long period,
some convenience functions (such as remote
unlocking, etc.) may become inoperable. After
starting the vehicle, these functions will be
restored.
When the vehicle is not started
If you listen to the radio or use other functions
of the audio-visual system while the vehicle is
not started, this will drain the 12V battery.
If depletion of the 12V battery will affect the
vehicle’s running, a warning message will
appear on the multimedia screen or the
instrument panel. At this point, if you want to
continue to use these functions, you will need
to start the vehicle.
After starting the vehicle
While driving, even though 12V battery is
supplying electricity, the 12V battery might still
become drained. This situation can occur if
electrical consumption is too high and the
electricity supplied by 12V battery is insufficient,
particularly so if the 12V battery charge was low
in the first place.
In order to restore essential electrical supply,
the system will temporarily shut down certain
high-consumption electrical devices or reduce
their electrical consumption. In particular, the
heating system consumes a lot of power. If you
find that the seat heating function is not
working or that the A/C air flow is limited, this
shows that the system has temporarily shut
these down or adjusted them to a lower power
output. Once the supply of electricity is
restored, the systems will return to normal
operation.
