Overview

The BCP-6-T/M1002 HRV Controller is a device designed for managing Heat Recovery Ventilation (HRV) systems, specifically those with mono-stage or EC fans. It consists of a mainboard (M1002) and a room panel (BCP-6-T) with a 3.1" large screen for user interaction.

Function Description

The controller offers comprehensive management of HRV systems, including:

  • Aspirator and Ventilator Control: Provides 6-level speed control for both aspirator and ventilator fans, allowing for precise airflow management.
  • Operating Modes: Supports both Automatic and Manual modes, giving users flexibility in how the system operates.
  • Heater Control: Features 3-stage heater control to manage auxiliary heating within the HRV system.
  • Temperature Sensing: Utilizes a Return Air Temperature Input (NTC 10K) for accurate temperature monitoring.
  • CO2 Control: Integrates with a CO2 Transmitter Input for carbon dioxide level monitoring and control, enabling demand-controlled ventilation.
  • Building Management System (BMS) Integration: Includes a BMS Input (Dry Contact) for seamless integration with external building management systems.

  • Damper Output: Provides an On/Off Damper Output for controlling air dampers.

Usage Features

The room panel provides intuitive control through several buttons:

  • On/Off Button: Toggles the device's power.
  • Mode Button: Cycles through operating modes: AUTO HEAT, AUTO FAN, MANUAL. Pressing for 2 seconds in ON mode accesses Weekly Program Settings.
  • Up Button: Increases the set temperature in automated mode or increases aspirator/ventilator/heater stage in manual mode. Used for adjusting values in settings menus.
  • Down Button: Decreases the set temperature in automated mode or decreases aspirator/ventilator/heater stage in manual mode. Used for adjusting values in settings menus.
  • Fan Button: Selects Aspirator, Ventilator, or Heater when the device is in manual mode. Used for confirming selections in settings menus. Pressing for 2 seconds in ON mode accesses Date & Time Settings.

Weekly Program Settings (BCP-6-T):

  • Allows users to set start and stop hours for each day.
  • Note 1: If the start hour is greater than the stop hour, the device will be off during the selected day.
  • Note 2: If start and stop hours are the same, the weekly program will not operate for that day.
  • Note 3: A "Timer On" logo indicates an active weekly program for the day.
  • Note 4: A "Timer Off" logo indicates an inactive weekly program for the day.

Date & Time Settings (BCP-6-T):

  • Allows setting the current hour, minute, day, month, and year.

Service Settings (Accessible by technical personnel):

  • Fan and Heater On/Off Time Settings: Adjusts delay times (5-30 seconds) for fan and heater operation.
  • Temperature Sensor Position Settings: Configures whether temperature control is based on the panel temperature (0) or return temperature (1).
  • Carbon Dioxide Settings: Enables (1) or disables (0) carbon dioxide mode.
  • Temperature Calibration: Allows calibration of the temperature sensor within a range of -9°C to +9°C.
  • Heater Stage Settings: Sets the maximum heater stage (0-3). If set to 0, the device operates only in Automatic Fan and Manual modes.
  • Backlight Settings: Configures backlight behavior: waits 5 seconds after button press (0), always off (1), or always on (2).
  • Factory Reset: Resets all settings to default values (Carbon Mode: Off, Control Temp: Panel, Delay Time: 10 seconds, Heater Stage: 3 Kademe, Device Mode: Automatic Heat, Set Temp: 23 °C).

Maintenance Features

  • Self-extinguishing plastic: The device is constructed with self-extinguishing plastic for enhanced safety.
  • Cleaning: The device should not be cleaned with corrosive cleaning materials or solvents (e.g., thinner, benzine, acid).
  • Installation Precautions:
    • The device should be mounted when there is no power.
    • It must be protected from vibration, humidity, and pollution.
    • Cross and shielded cables should be used for signal and communication lines to ensure reliable operation.
    • The control board should be mounted in a box away from direct sunlight and humidity.
