Why is my HAYGAIN Pet Care Product taking longer to steam?
    • K
      Katherine BriggsAug 6, 2025
If your HAYGAIN Pet Care Product forage is taking longer to steam than usual, several factors could be the cause. The ambient or water temperature might be lower than normal; in this case, steam the forage longer, ensuring the hay chest thermometer reaches 80°C. To shorten steaming time, use hot water in the steam generator. Alternatively, limescale buildup on the steam generator's heating element could reduce efficiency; clean and descale the generator after it cools. Finally, a lower-than-normal electrical voltage can also extend steaming time. Check that the steam generator has a sufficient power supply, and try turning off other appliances. If power is insufficient, extend the steaming time, ensuring the thermometer reaches 80°C, or use hot water to reduce steaming time.

Why does my HAYGAIN Pet Care Product steam generator keep tripping the circuit breaker?
    • J
      Jennifer RossAug 13, 2025
If your HAYGAIN Pet Care Product steam generator is tripping the circuit breaker, it could be due to an insufficient power supply. Ensure the steam generator is connected to a sufficient power supply and try turning off other appliances. Another possibility is that the steam generator is damp. If so, wait 24 hours for it to dry out, and always keep the steam generator in a warm, dry environment, ensuring the floor nearby is dry to prevent dampness.

What to do if HAYGAIN Pet Care Product forage is not steaming properly?
    • J
      Jessica FarleyAug 18, 2025
If your HAYGAIN Pet Care Product forage isn't steaming properly, or steam isn't coming from all manifold spikes, consider these possibilities. First, the amount of forage may be too heavy or loosely packed. Steam the forage longer, making sure the thermometer reaches 80°C, and pack the forage firmly and evenly. Using hot water in the steam generator can also reduce steaming time. Second, the hay chest might not be on level ground. Allow the hay steamer to cool and move the hay chest to level ground. Lastly, a kinked or damaged steam hose can cause this issue. Allow the hay steamer to cool down and replace the steam hose.

How to fix a HAYGAIN Pet Care Product steam generator that does not switch on?
    • L
      Lindsay SalinasAug 30, 2025
If your HAYGAIN Pet Care Product steam generator isn't switching on, first ensure it's plugged into a working power outlet. If it still doesn't power on, the fuse in the steam generator plug may have blown, so replace it. If neither of these solutions works, a fault may have activated the safety cut-out feature, requiring the steam generator to be serviced.

Why is steam escaping from the safety cap on my HAYGAIN Pet Care Product steam generator?
    • D
      Daniel JohnsonNov 23, 2025
If steam escapes from the safety cap on your HAYGAIN Pet Care Product steam generator, it could be due to several reasons. The steam generator may have been overfilled; allow it to cool and pour out excess water. The safety cap might not be fully closed because of hay or dirt; allow the generator to cool, then remove and clean the safety cap. The safety cap seal could be dirty, damaged, or missing; allow the generator to cool, then remove and clean the cap and seal. If damaged, replace the seal, inserting it under the metal thread using a screwdriver. A blocked or restricted steam hose could also be the cause; straighten the hose and remove any obstructions. Finally, the steam hose or manifold might be frozen; allow the steamer to cool, then defrost the hose in warm water and pour warm wat...
