Why Hayter Harrier 41 410D engine will not start?

There are several reasons why your Hayter Lawn Mower engine might not start. First, ensure the engine isn't under load by raising the height of cut. Next, check if the fuel tank is empty and fill it if necessary. If the engine is cold, set the throttle to the ‘choke’ position. Also, verify you're using the correct, uncontaminated fuel; if not, drain the tank and refill. Make sure the spark plug lead is connected and the throttle is set to the ‘fast’ position. Ensure the engine brake is released. A faulty spark plug could also be the culprit, so clean, adjust the gap, or replace it. If you have a model 412, check and charge the battery. Finally, inspect the wiring for any faults.
