Overview

The HAZET 4812-11G Portable Video Borescope is a high-technology inspection tool designed for industrial use, manufactured by HAZET-WERK Hermann Zerver GmbH & Co. KG since 1868. This device is intended for damage diagnosis and documentation via video and/or image recording in hard-to-reach areas of machinery.

Function Description:

The video borescope operates in three user-friendly modes: "Preview," "Browse," and "Menu."

  • Preview Mode: Activated upon powering on, this mode displays real-time images received by the device on the screen, allowing users to view or capture images.
  • Browse Mode: In this mode, users can review previously captured pictures and videos, and perform basic file management tasks.
  • Menu Mode: This mode allows users to adjust various device settings. The system automatically reverts to "Preview" mode if no actions are taken in "Menu" mode.

The device features multifunction buttons for intuitive control:

  • Fn Button: Activates special functions, including brightness control for the screen display and contrast control. A short press increases brightness, while a long press decreases it.
  • OK Button: Enters the "Menu" mode and confirms selections within the menu.
  • Zoom Button: A short press magnifies the image 1.5 times, another short press magnifies it 2 times, and a third press restores the original image.
  • Mirroring Button: A short press mirrors a photo horizontally; pressing it again restores the standard display.
  • Camera Switching Button: When a probe with both front and side cameras is connected, a long press on this button toggles between the camera views.
  • Browse Button (ESC): Enters "Browse" mode and returns to "Preview" mode from "Browse" or "Menu" mode.
  • Photo Capture Button: Takes a still image.
  • Video Recording Button: Starts and stops video recording.
  • On/Off Button: Powers the device on and off.
  • Blinking Light: Indicates device status.

The system menu offers several settings:

  • Date / Time: Allows setting the system time, choosing the date format, and deciding whether the time is displayed in "Preview" mode.
  • SD Memory Card Status: Provides options to delete all files, format the SD card, and view the available capacity.
  • Auto Power Off: Configures the device to automatically shut down after 5 or 10 minutes, or disables this function.
  • Recording Timer: Sets a time limit for video recording, which stops only if the record button is pressed again or the SD card is full.
  • USB Output: Enables connection to a PC for data transfer. Users can choose between "Card Reader Mode" or "Camera Mode" when connected.
  • Album: Manages photos and videos stored on the SD card, allowing users to select, enlarge, and delete files.
  • Language: Sets the desired language for the device interface.
