    • I
      Ian JohnsonAug 6, 2025
If you see fault code FLo or FL3 on your Heat Perfector Pro Heat Pump, it means the unit is in protection mode. This could be due to several reasons: the filter being in backwash position, the filter pump being stopped, a dirty filter, a shortage of water to the pool pump, the FIL parameter not being set to activate the pool pump, or a problem with the water pressure switch. To restart the unit, press any key.

    • D
      Dustin MartinOct 29, 2025
If your Heat Perfector Pro Heat Pump is running but not heating, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the temperature display is ON and the circuit breaker hasn't tripped; reset it if necessary. Check for adequate water flow, clearing any obstructions like clogged filter pump strainers or incorrectly positioned valves. Confirm the thermostat and Pool/Spa settings are correct and set higher than the current water temperature. Verify the ejected air is 8°–10°F cooler than incoming air, indicating heat extraction. Be patient, as there's a 5-minute delay after the unit has been shut OFF. Check if the Heat Light is ON; if not, raise the thermostat. For initial heating in cold weather, allow up to a week for the water to reach a comfortable temperature, typically around 4 days. The he...
