      If the Temperature and Pressure relief valve of your Heat Transfer Water Heater keeps popping, make sure the expansion tank in the closed loop piping system is properly sized and installed. Reduce the system water pressure below the relief valve setting. Inspect and adjust or replace the relief valve if needed. Check the aquastat setting and readjust if necessary, replacing it if faulty.

      If the DHW supply temperature from your Heat Transfer Water Heater is too high, check the aquastat settings and readjust if they're set higher than needed. Repair or replace the aquastat if it's faulty. Also, check the circulator's on/off temperature settings and electrical wiring. Inspect, repair, or replace the relay switch or aquastat if they aren't working correctly. Finally, ensure the water heating piping and components are installed according to the instructions in Section 4.2.

      If you hear a loud banging noise in your Heat Transfer Water Heater or water piping, rearrange the water return piping and inspect the valve for proper drainage. Ensure there are no restrictions in the water return line and replace the check valve if it's leaking or has failed. Install a properly sized expansion tank in the closed loop piping system as shown in Installation and Piping drawings in Section 6.3. Install water hammer arrestors/shock absorbers in the hot and cold water systems as needed, and check for any trapped air in the domestic water system to avoid shock waves.

      If the Heat Transfer Water Heater can't maintain the required temperature or has a slow recovery, check the aquastat settings and readjust if they are below the desired temperature. Also, check that the boiler water inlet temperature gauge reading matches the design conditions, and readjust the boiler supply water temperature if needed.
