Cut a 5-1/2" length of 8-wire cable
and separate the cable into eight
individual wires. You will use these
wires in the following steps.

the following steps, when a wire
is called for, cut the wire to the indicated
length, remove 1/4" of insulation from the
wire_ends, twist the strands together, and
apply a small amount of solder to the bare
ends. Solder each wire as it is installed and
cut off the excess bare wire ends.
