What to do if my Heco 420 is smoking or back-puffing when the cook plate or fire door is open?

If your Heco Stove experiences smoking or back-puffing when the cook plate or fire door is open, it could be due to a temporarily inadequate draft. To address this: * Open the damper before opening the door to improve the draft. * Allow more time for the stove to warm up. * Wait until the wind dies down and consider installing a high wind cap. * Check the stove for cracks. * Ensure all cleanout doors are closed, including the chimney cleanout.
