Final Scale Tape Securing

Initial Scale Tape Affixing

Unscrew clamping screws Sk, secure holder KM with screws ST. Loosely affix scale tape with clamping screws Sk.

Tensioning the Scale Tape

Loosen ST, tighten Sk for no play (0.1 Nm). Tighten ST (1 Nm). Tighten SM until no play, then tension by 10 revolutions.

Scale Tape Tension Adjustment

Final Clamping Screw Tightening

Tighten clamping screws SK to approximately 1.5 Nm, ensuring the 2 Nm torque limit is not exceeded.

Releasing Scale Tape Tension

Loosen the scale tape by 11 revolutions of the tensioning screw SM.

Inserting Sealing Lips

Preparing and Lubricating Sealing Lips

Sealing lips are preloaded. Mark length (L x 0.99). Lubricate the inside with sealing lip grease FT.

Sealing Lips Insertion Details

Initial Sealing Lip Placement

Pull in both sealing lips, letting them protrude 1 mm. Loosen with fingers if stiff.

Orienting Sealing Lips

Use reference mark slider S to orient sealing lips outward over ~500 mm. Ensure correct relative positioning.

Sealing Lips Trimming

Positioning and Cutting Sealing Lips

At the second end, pull lips out 1 mm past marking. Orient outward ~500 mm. Cut lips at the marking.

Final Sealing Lip Alignment

Final Sealing Lip Orientation

Orient sealing lips outward over the entire length, ensuring 1 mm protrusion. Do not move reference mark selector plate R.

Securing Sealing Lips (End Section E2)

Attaching Stop Plate and End Cap

Slide stop plate KA onto end section. Secure end cap with 3 screws (1 Nm). Ensure lips are seated correctly.
