To prevent damage to the unit and possible injury, read this manual carefully and follow all installation instructions.

General instruction for connecting the HELIX DSP.3S signal processor

The HELIX DSP.3S signal processor may only be installed in vehicles which have a 12 Volts negative terminal connected to the chassis ground.

Connectors and control units

Line Input

RCA inputs for connecting pre-amplifier signals.

Coax Input

Electrical input for digital stereo signals (SPDIF format).

Optical Input

Optical input for digital stereo signals (SPDIF format).

Highlevel Input

Highlevel speaker inputs for connecting a factory radio or an aftermarket radio without lowlevel line outputs.

Power Input

Connector for the DC power supply with an additional remote in- and output.

Ground lift switch

Defines the connection between the power ground and signal ground of the inputs and outputs.

Control pushbutton

Switches between setups or initiates a reset of the device.

Status LED

Indicates the operating mode of the DSP and of its memory.

USB input

Connects the HELIX DSP.3S to your PC.

SCP (Smart Control Port)

Multifunction interface for optional accessories like a remote control.

Line Output

Line outputs for connecting amplifiers.

Initial start-up and functions

Turn on the DSP.3S and launch the software; it will update automatically.
