Do you have a question about the Helping Hand Symmetrikit Poser and is the answer not in the manual?
Ensure the label is on the outside, feed down the client's back, and position the commode aperture.
Lift client's legs, feed leg strap under, ensuring hip straps remain outside and no twists occur.
Attach leg/hip straps to front hooks (longest loop) and shoulder straps to rear hooks (shortest loop).
Raise hoist, verify security and comfort. Use shorter loops for a more reclined posture.
Connect the head rest clips and adjust them to ensure the client's comfort.
Connect the chest belt, adjust for client comfort, and tidy any excess strap ends.
Visually inspect sling integrity before each lift. Do not use if fabric or stitching is damaged.
Carefully examine all stitching. Remove from service if any doubt exists regarding its condition.
Check clips, retaining straps, and body material for nicks, cuts, fatigue, or discolouration.
Assess service life by checking sling body, binding, and labels for fading indicating extensive use.
Lay sling flat, examine base material and stitching. Minor holes in non-critical areas may be acceptable.
Implement bi-annual re-assessment and inspection. Maintain full records for all slings.
