Select a flat, open area free from sharp objects like rocks and roots for optimal tent placement.
Ensure all pole joints are completely connected to prevent weak points during setup.
Spread the tent flat in a circular form and place stakes in all corner loops; use skis or poles in snow/winter.
Open the zipper, place the smaller pole end into the peak pocket, then raise the tent and place the bottom end in the center.
Close the zipper, tighten the tent using stakes, and adjust guy lines for wind stability and volume.
Attach the removable top hat over the opening before raising; connect guy lines to eyelets for stabilization.
Check equipment and practice setting up the lavvu before your first outing.
Air vents are adjustable from inside. Two top hat systems exist: permanent and removable.
Condensation arises from people, air humidity, and ground moisture; use a floor for a barrier.
Increase stability using guy lines, stakes, or placing stones/snow on storm mats.
Campfires offer warmth and cooking. Ensure proper fireplace size, low flame height, and fire safety.
Prevent long-term sun exposure as UV radiation degrades fabric performance.
Dry lavvu before storage. Clean with a moist sponge (max 30°C) without detergent. Repair zippers.
Re-waterproof fabric when water no longer beads off, indicating treatment has worn out.
Use the provided repair kit for emergency patches and thread to fix minor damages.
