function properly anymore. To keep this appliance in
optimum condition and to ensure it’s operation, it is
crucial that you descale the appliance on a regular
basis. Depending on the hardness of the water and
the frequency of use, you need to repeat the follow-
ing procedure regularly.
Use to decalcify the ice cube maker use a descal-
ing agent that also is used for e.g. coffee makers.
You can also use citric acid or cleaning vinegar as a
de-scaling agent. To ensure the proper mixture read
the instructions supplied with the agent.
1. Fill the water reservoir with the de-scaling agent
according to the terms of the agent. Never exceed
the maximum level.
2. Turn the power switch “On”. The ice cube basin
will now be filled with water. You can hear that the
pump is pumping the water from the reservoir to
the ice bucket.
3. At the time the ice cube basin is filled and the
water supply stops: immediately push the button
“Off”.
4. The ice cube basin will reset to zero and the des-
caling agent will be spread through the appliance.
5. Switch the power switch back “On”.
6. Repeat this procedure (step 1 till 4) several times
with de-scaling agent.
7. After you have made sure that the appliance is to-
tally clean, let the descaling agent pour out of the
appliance through the drain plug on the left side
of the appliance.
8. Now pour clean water in the water reservoir and
repeat step 1 till 4 several times to make sure that
there are no scraps of the descaling agent left in
the appliance. The smell and taste of the descal-
ing agent should fully be disappeared. Take every
time new clean water for this.
9. The appliance is now ready for use again.
Note: Warranty is void if failure to de-scale regularly
leads to reduced functioning or failure of the appli-
