Finally, internal damage or wear could be the issue, requiring a technician to service the tool.

Another cause might be a dull or damaged bit, so keep bits sharp and replace them as needed. Also, check for blocked motor housing vents. If blocked, wear ANSI-approved safety goggles and a NIOSH-approved dust mask/respirator while blowing dust out of the motor using compressed air.
