What to do if my HERKULES Portable Generator engine does not start?

If the HERKULES Portable Generator's engine won't start, possible causes include: * The oil pressure switch may have tripped. In this case, check the oil level and top it up. * There might be no diesel fuel. Refuel the generator. * The mechanical switch may be set to “STOP”. Ensure it is set to “RUN”. * A blocked diesel filter. Clean or replace it. * A dirty air filter. Clean or replace the air filter. * The diesel filter may be frozen due to low outdoor temperatures. Follow the instructions in the “Winter operation” section.
