Function Description
The HTJ-2502C-01 is an 8.5L ultrasonic humidifier designed to improve ambient humidity. It offers a range of functions accessible via a control knob on the unit itself or a remote control, and can also be managed through a Wi-Fi enabled "Tuya Smart" application.
Key functions include:
- On/Off: The humidifier can be turned on or off by pressing the control knob or the power button on the remote. Upon activation, a green light illuminates, and the display cycles through current ambient humidity and temperature. The default humidity level is 6, with the Humidification Mode Indicator and Mist Level Indicator lighting up.
- Function Switching: Users can cycle through different modes—Mist Level, Humidity, and Timing—by turning the control knob clockwise. Pressing the knob again enters the setting mode for the selected function.
- Mist Level Adjustment: The mist level can be adjusted by turning the control knob. The display shows the current mist level, and pressing the knob enters the setting mode. Turning the knob clockwise cycles through levels "1-2-3-4-5-6-1". Confirmation occurs by pressing the knob or after 5 seconds of inactivity. The mist level can also be adjusted using the "+ -" buttons on the remote control after pressing the "Humidification Mode Button".
- Constant Humidity Mode: To activate this mode, turn the control knob until the display shows "--%". Pressing the knob enters the humidity setting mode. Turning the knob clockwise adjusts the target humidity from "50%-55%-... -90%". Turning it counterclockwise decreases the value from "90%-85%-... -50% - --%". Once the desired humidity is selected (by pressing the knob or after 5 seconds), the Constant Humidity mode icon lights up. The humidity value can also be adjusted using the "+ -" buttons on the remote control after pressing the "Constant Humidity Mode icon". The display will then cycle through the current ambient humidity and temperature. If "--%" is selected, the constant humidity function is inactive.
- Timer Setting Mode: This mode allows users to set an operating duration. Turn the control knob until "00H" is displayed, then press the knob to enter the timer setting mode. Turning the knob clockwise cycles through "01H-02H-... -08H", increasing the duration up to 8 hours. Turning it counterclockwise decreases the duration from "08H-07H-... -01H-00H". The timer mode takes effect after pressing the knob or 5 seconds of inactivity. The timer duration can also be adjusted using the "+ -" buttons on the remote control after pressing the "Timer/Appointment button". The display will then cycle through ambient humidity, temperature, and timer duration. If "00H" is selected, the timing function is inactive.
- Appointment Start-up Mode: This feature allows scheduling the humidifier to turn on at a specific time. It can be set by pressing the "Timer/Appointment button" on the remote control and using the "+ -" buttons, or by connecting to the "Tuya Smart" APP.
- UV Light: The UV light is active when the humidifier is on and turns off in standby mode. It can be toggled on/off using the "UV button" on the remote control or via the "Tuya Smart" APP.
- Sleep Mode: Pressing the "sleep button" on the remote control activates sleep mode, dimming and turning off the display while other functions continue normally. Pressing any button wakes the display.
- Water Shortage Warning: When the water tank is empty, the display shows "EE", a red light illuminates, and a warning sound is emitted (5 beeps). The "EE" indication flashes to prompt refilling. To stop the flashing, press the knob or the power button on the remote. After refilling, the knob or power button must be pressed to resume operation.

Usage Features
- Water Filling: The humidifier offers three methods for adding water:
- From the side of the top cover (avoid adding directly into the nozzle).
- By removing the top cover and adding water from the side of the body (avoid adding directly into the middle Mist Cover).
- By removing the top cover and the body, then adding water directly into the water tank.
- Note on Water Filling (Method 3): For first-time use, the top cover and body can be removed directly. For subsequent uses, smoothly remove the top cover and body upward to prevent water spillage, as some water may remain in the body. The water pump has suction cups for better attachment to the tank bottom; a slight force may be needed to remove the body.
- Essential Oil Cartridge: The humidifier includes an essential oil cartridge located under the body. To add essential oils, remove the cartridge and place drops onto the pads.
- Important Note: Do not add additives like essential oils, perfumes, or drugs directly to the water. Only use the built-in essential oil cartridge for aromatherapy liquids.
- Wi-Fi Functionality: The humidifier can be connected to the "Tuya Smart" APP for remote control and additional features.
- APP Download: Scan the QR code or search "Tuya Smart" in the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Auto-connect: Enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your phone. Press and hold the knob in standby mode to enter Wi-Fi matching status (Wi-Fi icon flashes). Open the "Tuya Smart" APP, click "Add Device" or "+" to search for the device.
- Manual Connect: Enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your phone. Press and hold the knob in standby mode to enter Wi-Fi matching status (Wi-Fi icon flashes for two minutes, then exits if no connection). Open the "Tuya Smart" APP, click "Add Device" or "+" and select "Small Home Appliances" > "Humidifier (Wi-Fi)". Connect to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, find, and add the device.
- Wi-Fi Connection Note: Only one user can connect to the Wi-Fi function at a time. If a second user needs to operate it, the first user must exit Wi-Fi mode by removing the device from their app. If Wi-Fi connection fails within 3 minutes, re-press and hold the knob for 5 seconds to re-match.
Maintenance Features
- Exterior Cleaning: The exterior of the humidifier can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth.
- Interior Cleaning:
- Remove the filter, mist guide bracket, and body. (Smoothly remove the top cover and body upward).
- Add descaling agent or water, then clean with a soft cloth.
- Install the filter, mist guide bracket, and body back onto the water tank.
- Essential Oil Box Cleaning:
- Replace oil pads when they become dirty or when switching essential oil types.
- Remove the essential oil pads from the cartridge, wash them with water, dry them thoroughly, and then reinstall.
- General Cleaning Notes:
- Always unplug the power supply before cleaning.
- Do not overfill the water tank to prevent overflow.
- Be careful not to fill water into the mist outlet.
- It is recommended to clean the water tank regularly (every 2-3 weeks) to remove scale and debris.
General Safety Guidelines
- Read the manual carefully before use.
- Ensure the voltage matches the machine's specifications.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Place the humidifier and cord in a stable location, away from high-traffic areas and large furniture, to prevent tipping.
- Turn off and unplug the humidifier when not in use.
- Do not use in wet environments.
- Always place on a flat, level surface during operation.
- Keep away from heat sources like stoves, ovens, or heaters.
- Do not immerse the humidifier, power cord, or plug in water.
- If sparks, smoke, or unusual odors occur, immediately unplug and stop using the humidifier.
