Overview

This document provides a comprehensive user manual for a Hikvision Barrier Gate, an entrance and exit management device designed to regulate motor vehicle passage. The barrier gate can be controlled automatically via a parking lot management system or manually using buttons on a remote controller. It is suitable for various applications, including toll stations, parking lots, and the entrances and exits of communities and units.

Function Description

The barrier gate's primary function is to limit and control vehicle access. Its internal structure features a worm and gear transmission deceleration asynchronous motor, which drives the movement through a four-bar linkage mechanism. An angle sensor accurately detects the rotation angle of the output shaft, ensuring precise positioning of the boom pole.

Key safety features include:

  • Resistance Rebound: If the boom pole encounters resistance during its descent, it automatically rebounds to prevent damage or injury.
  • Induction Anti-collision: When the boom pole is falling and an induction signal is received (e.g., from a vehicle detector), it automatically rises and remains up as long as the signal is active. Once the signal clears, the boom pole resumes its descent.
  • Rising Signal Priority: If an emergency arises while the boom pole is falling, it will immediately rise upon receiving a rising signal.
  • Rubber Strip Anti-collision: The boom pole is equipped with a rubber strip to minimize damage in case of accidental impact.

The device also supports manual operation. In the event of a power cut, the boom pole can be manually controlled by rotating a hand wheel located at the bottom of the motor.

Usage Features

The barrier gate is designed for ease of use and stable operation, offering both mechanical and electrical advantages:

Mechanical Features:

  • Robust Construction: The housing is solid, durable, and waterproof, making it suitable for outdoor installation and use.
  • Integrated Machine Core: The integrated design of the machine core ensures stability and running accuracy.
  • Efficient Motor: It is equipped with a 60W integrated worm and gear transmission deceleration asynchronous motor, providing stable transmission, low noise, and a compact structure. The motor supports self-lock, preventing impact when the rotor is locked, thereby protecting the controller and extending its service life.
  • Smooth Boom Pole Movement: An exact four-bar linkage mechanism ensures rapid and stable movement of the boom pole, reducing motor load and extending its service life.

Electrical Features:

  • Highly Integrated System: The system is highly integrated, allowing for convenient connection to multiple matched devices.
  • Timeout Protection: Rising/falling timeout protection effectively safeguards the motor, ensuring reliable all-weather operation and preventing abnormal damage.
  • Accurate Position Detection: An angle sensor precisely detects the boom pole's position, contributing to stable running.
  • Status Indicators: Abundant status indicators provide clear operational feedback, simplifying use and maintenance.
  • Remote Control: The system includes a standard remote control with smart learning capabilities, supporting up to ten groups of remote control codes.
  • Stable Power Supply: A magnetic core transformer ensures stable operation of the barrier gate even in challenging outdoor environments.
  • Integrated Control: The device integrates light, electricity, and mechanical control for flexible, convenient, safe, and reliable operation.

The boom pole direction can be adjusted to open from left to right or right to left, offering flexibility for various installation scenarios. The device also features a DIP switch for configuring various functions, including counting, limit position learning modes (manual or auto), continuous signal output during boom pole movement, and delayed boom pole falling.

For remote control, the device has dedicated buttons for "Rise," "Stop," "Fall," and "Learn/Delete." The "Learn/Delete" button is used to enter remote control learning mode or clear learning records. Button combinations (e.g., "Learn/Delete + Rise" or "Learn/Delete + Fall") are used for learning rising and falling limit positions in both manual and auto learning modes, as well as for auto testing.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of the barrier gate:

  • Surface Cleaning: The surface of the barrier gate should be regularly cleaned to remove dirt and maintain its appearance.
  • Fastener Inspection: Fasteners should be checked monthly for looseness or loss and tightened as needed.
  • Lubrication: Lubricant should be applied to connectors every three months to ensure smooth operation.
  • Spring Balance Check: The balance springs should be inspected after every 30,000 operations, and their balance adjusted as necessary.
  • Wear Part Inspection: Easily damaged parts should be checked every six months and replaced if any damage is found.

The manual also emphasizes safety instructions, such as not opening the host door or cover during operation, ensuring proper grounding, avoiding placing objects under the boom pole, and contacting professionals for boom pole length or weight adjustments and peripheral equipment connections.
