Overview

This document is the user's operation manual for a Hisense washing machine, covering models WFQP6010EVM*, WFQP6012EVM*, WFQP7012EVM*, WFQP6010VM*, WFQP6012VM*, and WFQP7012VM*. It provides comprehensive instructions for safe operation, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Function Description:

The Hisense washing machine is designed for private domestic use, intended for household and similar applications such as staff kitchen areas, farmhouses, hotels, motels, bed and breakfast environments, and communal use in blocks of flats or launderettes. It performs various wash cycles for different fabric types and soiling levels, utilizing detergents and additives. The machine features an automatic enzyme phase for stain removal and an imbalance detection and correction system to optimize spin cycles.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Maximum Washing Capacity: 6/7 kg (depending on the model).
  • Inlet Water Pressure:
    • Maximum permissible: 1 MPa.
    • Minimum permissible (if necessary for correct operation): 0.1 MPa.
  • Electrical Connection: Requires a grounded socket with an earth connection. Electric supply must be adequate for the machine's 10 A current rating.
  • Minimum Housing Dimensions:
    • Width: 615 mm
    • Height: 855 mm
    • Depth: Refer to the programme chart.
  • Drain Hose Length: Max. Overall drain hose length: 2.50 m.
  • Weight: Over 55 kg, requiring two persons for movement.

Usage Features:

  • Preparation of Washing:
    • Sorting Laundry: Sort by fabric type (cottons, mixed fibres, easy care/synthetics, wool, handwash), care label symbols, and colour (separate coloured and white items, wash new coloured articles separately).
    • Loading: Load articles one at a time loosely into the drum without overfilling to improve washing efficiency and distribution. Overloading can lead to unsatisfactory washing results and creased laundry.
    • Delicates: Wash small items (e.g., nylon stockings, belts) and items with hooks (e.g., bras) in a cloth bag or pillow case with a zip. Remove curtain rings or wash curtains with rings inside a cotton bag.
    • Empty Pockets: Remove coins, safety pins, etc., to prevent damage to laundry, drum, and tub.
    • Fasteners: Close zips and fasten buttons or hooks; tie loose belts or ribbons.
    • Stain Removal: Blood, milk, eggs, etc., are generally removed by the automatic enzyme phase. For red wine, coffee, tea, grass, and fruit stains, add a stain remover to the main wash chamber. Pre-treat heavily-soiled areas if necessary.
    • Dyeing: Only use dyes suitable for washing machines and follow manufacturer's instructions. Be aware that plastic and rubber parts may be stained.
  • Detergents and Additives:
    • Always use high-efficiency, low-foam detergent for front-load machines.
    • Detergent choice depends on fabric type, colour, wash temperature, and degree/type of soiling.
    • Dosage: Follow detergent pack recommendations based on load size (full load, half load, minimum load) and water hardness. Soft water requires less detergent.
    • Detergent Dispenser: Features three chambers for prewash detergent, main wash detergent (and stain remover/water softener), and fabric softener/liquid starch. Pour additives only up to the "Max" mark.
    • Notes on Detergent Use:
      • Keep detergents and additives out of reach of children.
      • Liquid detergents can be used with prewash programmes, but powder detergent must be used for the main wash in this case.
      • Do not use liquid detergents with the "Start Delay" function.
      • For highly concentrated powder and liquid detergents, use a special detergent ball or bag placed directly inside the drum to prevent dispensing problems.
      • Ensure descaling agents, bleaches, or dyes are suitable for washing machines, as some compounds can damage parts.
      • Never use solvents (e.g., turpentine, benzine) in the washing machine.
  • Control Panel: Layout and appearance depend on the model. It includes a worktop, control panel, detergent dispenser, door, plinth covering pump access, and adjustable feet.
  • Programme Time Display: The machine may lengthen or shorten the displayed programme time due to factors like excess foam, load imbalance, or prolonged heating time. The time remaining is recalculated and updated as needed, with an animation appearing during update periods.

Maintenance Features:

  • Appliance Exterior and Control Panel: Clean with a soft, damp cloth and a little neutral (non-abrasive) detergent. Dry with a soft cloth.
  • Door Seal: Clean with a damp cloth when necessary and check its condition periodically.
  • Detergent Dispenser:
    1. Press the release lever in the main wash compartment and remove the drawer.
    2. Remove the siphon cap from the fabric softener compartment.
    3. Wash all parts under running water.
    4. Refit the siphon and drawer.
  • Filter:
    • Check and clean regularly (at least two or three times a year), especially if draining issues or spin cycle failures occur, or if the pump is blocked by foreign objects.
    • Procedure:
      1. Stop and unplug the appliance.
      2. Open the bottom baffle using a slotted screwdriver.
      3. Place a flat container under the filter door and drain residual water using the emergency drain pipe.
      4. Loosen and remove the filter anticlockwise.
      5. Clean the filter and filter chamber.
      6. Check that the pump rotor moves freely.
      7. Re-insert and screw the filter clockwise.
      8. Reinstall the plinth.
    • Important: Ensure water has cooled before draining.
  • Water Supply Hose: Check regularly for brittleness and cracks. Replace if necessary with a new hose of the same type (available from After-Sales Service or specialist dealer).
  • Mesh Filter for Water Connection:
    • Check and clean regularly.
    • Procedure (for models with "D" inlet hose):
      1. Close the tap and loosen the inlet hose on the tap.
      2. Clean the internal mesh filter and screw the water inlet hose back onto the tap.
      3. Unscrew the inlet hose on the rear of the washing machine.
      4. Pull off the mesh filter from the washing machine connection with universal pliers and clean it.
      5. Refit the mesh filter and screw the inlet hose on again.
      6. Turn on the tap and ensure connections are water-tight.
