  The door of your Hitachi Washer might not open for several reasons: * There may still be water in the machine. If this is the case, run the Drain program to remove the water. * The child lock could be activated. If so, deactivate the child lock. * The washing machine might have been switched off before the door lock was released. Try pushing the POWER button to switch the power on. The door lock will release if there is no water in the drum.
