Low
noise
FET
amplifier
A
low
noise
FET
amplifier
is
used
in
the
input
stage
to
make
further
im-
provements
in
the
S/N
ratio;
this
also
reduces
noise
in
playback.
Dual
capstan
system
This
further
stabilizes
tape
speed
and
tape/head
contact.
Fluctuations
in
signal
level
caused
by
uneven
tape
transportation
are
eliminated.
REC/MUTE
switch
Pressing
this
button
during
recording
leaves
blank
sections
on
the
tape.
While
the
button
is
pressed
the
tape
transport
continues
to
operate
but
the
signal
is
cut.
Use
it
to
leave
gaps
between
recorded
passages.
Auto-rewind
play/stop
facility
At
the
end
of
tape
whether
the
tape
is
to
stop
or
to
be
rewound,
and
if
it
is
to
be
rewound,
whether
it
is
to
stop
after
being
rewound
or
enter
the
play
mode,
is
selectable.

is
very
convenient
if
you
want
continuous
background
music
at
a
party.
Remote
control
option
:
Remote
contro!
operation
is
possible
using
the
optional
remote
control
device
(RB-2000).
Full
auto-stop
mechanism
:
When
the
tape
reaches
its
end
in
any
mode,
the
full
auto-stop
mechanism
operates
to
switch
off
the
mechanism
so
that
the
tape
is
not
damaged.
Memory
counter
If
you
set
the
counter
to
000’
before
you
start
recording
and
the
memory
switch
ON
when
rewinding,
the
tape
will
stop
when
the
counter
reaches
1999"
in
the
rewind
mode.
Rewinding
to
the
start
of
a
recording
lets
you
listen
to
a
recording
immediately
you
have
made
it.
Used
together
with
the
auto
rewind
mechanism,
this
makes
flexible
operation
possible.

record
when
you
are

at
home
and
play
back

to
wake
you
up.
With
an
external
audio
timer
connected,
automatic
recording
at
the
desired
time
or
playback
of
music
as
an
alarm
is
possible.

on
it.

use
any
