• Please reset the lamp time only when you have replaced the lamp, for a suitable indication about the lamp.
Replacing the Lamp
A lamp has a fi nite product life. Using the lamp for long periods of time could cause the picture to darken or
the color tone is poor. Note that each lamp has a different lifetime, and some may burst or burn out soon after
being started using.
CAUTION ŹDo not touch any inner space of the projector, while the lamp is taken out.
2. Loosen the screw (marked by arrow) of the lamp cover and then slide the
lamp cover to the side to remove it.
3. Loosen the 2 screws (marked by arrows) of the lamp and slowly pick up the
lamp by the handles.
4. Insert the new lamp, with cautions not to touch the inside of the lamp house.
When inserting, pay attention to the socket position first and to the pins for
positioning next.
5. Tighten fi rmly the 2 screws of the lamp that are loosened in the previous
process to lock it in place.
6. Slide the lamp cover into place and fi rmly tighten the screw of the lamp
cover.
7. Plug in and restart the projector.
Then, reset the lamp time (which is the time counter for the lamp use).
(1) Press the Ÿ or ź button on the projector or the
MENU button on the
remote control. The “
EASY MENU” appears.
(2) Point at the “
Go to Advanced Menu …” in the menu using the Ÿ or ź
button, then press the Ź button. “
MENU” appears.
(3) Pointed at the “
OPTION” in the left column using the Ÿ or ź button,
then press the Ź button. The cursor moves to the right column.
(4) Pointed at the “
LAMP TIME” using the Ÿ or ź button, then press the Ź
button. A dialog appears.
(5) Press the Ÿ button to select the “
RESET” on the dialog. It performs
resetting the lamp time.
1. Turn the projector off and unplug the power cord from the power outlet.
Cool the projector down by leaving it for about 45 minutes where it is.
