Hitachi FT-5500 - INSTALLATION; Placement on an Ordinary Shelf; Rack Installation

INSTALLATION
When installing the FT-5500 choose a place that satisfies the following conditions:
1. Install it in a place out of direct sunlight and away from stoves, etc.
2. install it in a place where ventilation is good and which is free from moisture and dust.
3. Install the tuner on a stable and vibration-free surface.
1. Placement on an ordinary shelf
Leave a
clearance of at

NOTE:
Leave a clearance of at least 4 cm between this unit and the amplifier when the amplifier you are using has
a high power output or when the amplifier is being used at a high power output level. (See Fig. 1)

NOTE:
Do
not
install
your
amplifier
in
the
audio
rack
(see
Fig.
2)
if
the
amplifier
you
are
using
has
a
high
power
output,
the
amplifier
is
being
used
at
a
high
power
output
level
or
if
your
audio
rack
is
enclosed
and
poorly
ventilated.
This
is
to
reduce
the
effects
of
heat
generated
by
the
amplifier
on
the
unit.
if
the
amplifier
is
to
be
installed
in
the
audio
rack,
make
sure
that
there
is
sufficient
space
(see
Fig.
3)
for
the
heat
generated
by
the
amplifier
to
dissipate
freely.
This
will
then
reduce
the
effects
of
the
heat
generated
on
the
unit.
