install and congure Hi-Track to monitor the storage system at the customer site.

1. Open a web browser and go to https://support.hds.com/.
2. Under Support Connect on the right, Hitachi internal
employees enter their NT user name and NT password (end
users enter their email address and password).
3. Click Login.
4. Under Dashboard in the left pane, click Support >
Technical Bulletins.
5. Click the technical bulletins you want to read.
6. At the top-right, click Manage My Preferences to
manage your online preferences and email preferences with
Online and Email options that will notify you about technical
bulletins proactively and aid with preventative maintenance.

1. Make host connections
Congure the storage system host settings. Refer to the
Open-Systems Host Attachment Guide (MK-90RD7037) and
the HDS Product Interoperability Documentation at
https://support.hds.com.
• Follow the instructions in your host, HBA, and NIC vendor
documentation for information about host conguration.
• Connect the ports on the controllers to your network
switch. Refer to the gures and to your switch
documentation for details. Ports are color-coded for
reference. For port assignments, refer to the Hardware
Installation and Reference Guide.
