Why is there frost or ice in my Hitachi Refrigerator freezer compartment?

It might be caused by the door being left open temporarily, or the wrapping paper of the food getting caught, preventing a tight seal. Also, opening the door frequently or for extended periods can contribute to this issue. Try to avoid opening the door too often or for too long. Wipe any frost or ice with a dry cloth. Making extra ice with a tray not originally installed in the refrigerator can also cause this problem. Putting a lid on the tray can help. Remember to wipe away any frost or ice with a dry cloth.

  Dew can form on the refrigerator's exterior if the humidity around it is high. Wipe the dew off with a dry cloth. Also, if the temperature setting is set to “Coldest”, try setting it to “Normal” and wipe the dew off with a dry cloth.
