RECORDING
FROM
RADIO
PROGRAMMES:
Set

BUILT-IN
(OR
EXTERNAL)
MICROPHONE:
When
recording
from
built-in
microphone,
set
the
Function
selector(@
to
the
“TAPE”
position
and
depress
the
Record
and
Playback
buttons
(@
and
@).
(The
sound
can
not
be
monitored
through
speakers.)
When
making
stereo
recording
from
external
microphones,
connect
each
of
the
two
microphone
plugs
to
the
Microphone
sockets;

REMOTE
CONTROL
SWITCH:
When
using
an
external
microphone
with
a
remote
control
switch,
the
Remote
control
socket

The
tape
motion

microphone’s
remote
control
switch.
RECORDING
FROM
EXTERNAL
PROGRAMME
SOURCE:
All
programme
sources
may
be
directly
recorded
on
cassette
tape.
External
programme
source
have
to
be
connected
to
the
Record/playback
(DIN)
socket
and
Function
selector
(to
the
‘‘LINE
IN”
position.
(The
sound
can
be
monitored
through
speakers).
RECORDING
FROM
STEREO
SYSTEM:
Recording
from
a
stereo
system
is
possible
by
connecting
the
RECORD/PLAYBACK
(DIN)
socket
64
and
the
amplifier
output
terminals
using
a
DIN
cord.
(The
sound
can
be
monitored
through
speakers).
Note:
A
DIN
cord
can
be
used
only
with
the
amplifier.
Accordingly,
recording
and
playback
are
not
possible
by
connecting
two
TRK-8080
units.
“LEVELMATIC”
AND
“VARIABLE
MONITOR”:
During
recording,
no
level
adjust-
ment
is
necessary.
The
‘’Levelmatic’’,
a
device
unique
to
Hitachi
tape
recorders,
will
permit
distortion-free
recording
even
when
an
excessively
loud
sound
is
input.
The
radio
programme
may
be
heard
at
any
desired
volume
without
affecting
the
recording
using
the
‘Variable
monitor’
device.
PLAYBACK:
To
playback
a
cassette
tape,
set
the
Function
selector
(to
the
“TAPE”
position
and
depress
the
Playback
button
@).
