Charging the speaker is so easy you’ve probably figured it out by now,
but just in case, you’ve got two options: you can charge it using your
computer or a wall outlet. The Dynamite needs about 3 hours for up to
5 hours of party time.
1. The cord that came with the speaker — the one with the USB on one
end and the micro USB on the other — will work with your computer.
2. If you want to use the wall outlet, you’ll need to pick up a power cord
with a micro USB the next time you’re at the store, or use any USB AC
adapter, including the one for your cell phone.

CONNECTION – IT’S A SETUP
Like any amazing couple, this one starts with a connection — one between your
device and the speaker’s Bluetooth. Here’s how it works:
1. Make sure the smartphone, tablet, or computer you’re using with the speaker
has Bluetooth.
2. Turn on the speaker and look for the little blinking light.
3. Do whatever your device needs you to do on its end.
4. Look for HMDX Dynamite in your device’s Bluetooth list or click YES.
5. Now hit PLAY on your speaker and crank it up — or down if you’re lame.
The device and Bluetooth will find each other every time as long as the speaker is
set to Bluetooth and your device’s Bluetooth is, you know, on.

Overview

The HMDX Dynamite is a portable Bluetooth speaker designed for on-the-go audio enjoyment. It offers a range of features for connectivity, ease of use, and maintenance, making it a versatile companion for various activities.

It features a built-in rechargeable battery, providing hours of playback on a single charge.

Usage Features

The HMDX Dynamite is designed for user-friendly operation with several convenient features:

Bluetooth Connectivity

  1. Pairing: To pair the speaker with a Bluetooth device, ensure the speaker is powered on. The Bluetooth indicator will flash, indicating it's in pairing mode. On your device, enable Bluetooth and select "HMDX Dynamite" from the list of available devices. Once paired, the indicator will glow solid.
  2. Automatic Reconnection: The speaker will attempt to automatically reconnect to the last paired device when powered on, simplifying subsequent uses.
  3. Multiple Devices: While the speaker can only be connected to one Bluetooth device at a time, it remembers previously paired devices. To connect to a new device, disconnect from the current one and initiate pairing with the new device.
  4. Wired Connection: For non-Bluetooth devices, connect a 3.5mm audio cable from the device's headphone jack to the AUX input on the HMDX Dynamite. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX input mode.

Controls and Indicators

  • Power Button: Turns the speaker on and off. A long press typically initiates power on/off.
  • Play/Pause Button: Controls audio playback (play/pause) when connected via Bluetooth.
  • Volume Controls: Adjusts the speaker's output volume.
  • Track Navigation: Buttons for skipping to the next or previous track when connected via Bluetooth.
  • LED Indicators:
    • Bluetooth Indicator: Flashes when in pairing mode, solid when connected.
    • Charging Indicator: Glows when charging, turns off when fully charged.
    • Battery Low Indicator: May flash or change color to indicate a low battery level.

Portability and Placement

  • Compact Design: Its small footprint makes it easy to carry in a bag or backpack.
  • Placement: For optimal sound quality, place the speaker on a flat, stable surface. Avoid placing it in enclosed spaces that might obstruct the sound or ventilation.

Call Handling

  • Integrated Microphone: The HMDX Dynamite may include a built-in microphone, allowing it to function as a speakerphone for hands-free calls when connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth.
  • Call Controls: The play/pause button typically answers or ends calls.

Battery Life and Charging

  • Rechargeable Battery: The integrated battery provides several hours of continuous playback, depending on volume levels and usage.
  • Charging Process: Connect the included USB charging cable to the speaker's charging port and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The charging indicator will illuminate during charging and turn off when the battery is full.
  • Charging Time: A full charge typically takes a few hours.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your HMDX Dynamite speaker.

Cleaning

  • Exterior Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the speaker's exterior. Avoid using harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the finish.
  • Port Cleaning: Keep the charging port and AUX input free of dust and debris. Use a soft brush or compressed air if necessary, but be gentle to avoid damaging the internal components.

Battery Care

  • Regular Charging: To maintain battery health, charge the speaker regularly, even if not in frequent use.
  • Avoid Deep Discharge: Do not allow the battery to completely drain for extended periods, as this can reduce its overall lifespan.
  • Storage: If storing the speaker for a long time, charge it to about 50-70% before storage and recharge it every few months to prevent deep discharge. Store in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures.

General Care

  • Avoid Water and Moisture: The HMDX Dynamite is not waterproof unless explicitly stated. Keep it away from water, rain, spills, and high humidity to prevent internal damage.
  • Temperature Extremes: Do not expose the speaker to extreme temperatures (hot or cold), as this can affect battery performance and electronic components.
  • Physical Protection: Avoid dropping the speaker or subjecting it to strong impacts, which can cause internal or external damage.
  • Cable Management: Handle charging and audio cables gently. Do not yank them out of the ports, as this can damage the connectors.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the speaker's vents (if any) are not blocked during use to prevent overheating.
  • Troubleshooting: If the device malfunctions, refer to the troubleshooting section of the manual. Often, a simple reset (powering off and on) or re-pairing can resolve minor issues. If problems persist, contact customer support.
  • Disposal: When the product reaches the end of its life, dispose of it responsibly according to local regulations for electronic waste. Do not dispose of the battery in household waste.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure your HMDX Dynamite provides reliable audio performance for years to come.
