Frothing milk / Making Cappuccino
• If you add milk froth to an espresso you will get a cup of cappuccino.
• First prepare an espresso according to the instructions described
above in the section “Making an espresso”.
• Fill a container with about 100 grams of milk for each cup of cappuccino
you want to prepare. It is recommended to use whole milk chilled or at
room temperature, but never hot.
Note: it is recommended that the diameter of the container is not less
than 70±5mm, and bear in mind that the milk increases in volume by 2
times, make sure the height of container is enough.
• Turn the function selector button (D) to the right towards the steam
outlet indication “ ”. Wait until the ready to use indicator light (F) turns
on indicating that the appliance is ready for use.
• Insert the frothing nozzle (J) of the Steam wand (I) into the milk until
about 2 centimetres.
• Turn slowly the steam control knob (C) counter-clockwise and steam
will start to ow.
• In order to obtain the milk foam more effectively, it is recommended that
the milk container be moved up and down and rotated simultaneously.
• Note: never turn the steam control knob (C) quickly, as this may cause
the accumulation of steam, which may increase the risk of spillage of
milk.
• When nished, turn the steam control knob (C) clockwise to the “Min”
position.
• Clean the frothing nozzle (J) and the steam wand (I) immediately with
a damp sponge, being careful not to burn yourself.
• Pour the milk foam over the previously prepared espresso, sweeten it
to taste and, if desired, sprinkle with cocoa powder.
Note: it is recommended to let the appliance cool down at least 5
minutes before making espresso again, otherwise the machine may
emit a burning odour.
• At the end of use, press the on / off button (N) to switch off the
appliance.
Producing hot water
•
• The hot water is generally used to preheat the cups for preparing the
espresso coffee, which will improve the taste of the coffee, or to obtain
a cup of hot water for preparing tea or infusing herbs.
