CHILD RESTRAINTS
WARNING
• This manual provides you with
general information concerning child
restraints only.
• The driver is required by law to
ensure that passengers are suitably
restrained. In most States and
Territories of Australia and New
Zealand, specic laws may exist
which require children to be seated in
approved child restraints.
• Holden strongly recommends that you
refer to your specic State or Territory
regulations to determine which child
restraint is suitable for your child.
WARNING – EXTREME HAZARD
• Do not use a rearward facing child restraint on a seat protected by an airbag in front
of it.
The child could be seriously injured if the airbag inates, as the child’s head would
be very close to the inating airbag.
• Remember that it is safest for children to be seated in the rear seats.
WARNING
• Always ensure that the seatbelt ts rmly around the child restraint.
• If a child cannot see out of the window, do not raise him/her by means of an ordinary
cushion. It will not stay in place in a collision and the child can slip out of the straps
and become entangled.
Children should be restrained at all times and tted with a child restraint appropriate to
their size when travelling in a vehicle. Following are some guidelines about selecting
the appropriate restraint for your child.
WARNING
Always follow the child restraint manufacturer’s tting instructions when installing a
child restraint into the vehicle.
