Overview

This document provides a comprehensive guide for the HOMCOM Countertop Dishwasher, model IN231000332V01_UK, operating at 800-190V70. It covers the dishwasher's functions, technical specifications, usage, and maintenance.

Function Description

The HOMCOM Countertop Dishwasher is designed for household dishwashing, offering a compact and easy-to-install solution. It features a high-temperature wash, making it effective for cleaning various types of tableware. The appliance includes a rapid wash option, completing a cycle in just 29 minutes, and a dedicated fruit wash function suitable for items like apples, grapes, and pears.

The dishwasher supports two water adding modes: manual and automatic. For manual addition, 4.5 liters of water are poured into the water tank. In automatic mode, the dishwasher connects directly to a water pipe and fills automatically, provided the water pressure is between 0.03MPa and 1.0MPa.

The control panel allows users to select from several wash programs:

  • Intensive wash: For heavily soiled porcelain tableware, knives, forks, spoons, and chopsticks with stuck-on food remains like soup, casserole, sauce, rice, egg, roast, or fried food.
  • ECO wash: An energy-efficient program for similar items with stuck-on food remains.
  • Normal wash: A standard program for everyday soiled items.
  • Rapid wash: A quick cycle for lightly soiled porcelain tableware, knives, forks, spoons, and chopsticks, suitable for coffee, tea, soup, or juice stains.
  • Fruit wash: Specifically designed for cleaning fruits.
  • Dry: A drying function that can be activated independently or as part of a wash program.

The dishwasher also includes a delay function to set a future wash start time and a pause/start button for controlling the wash cycle.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Power: 220-240V/50Hz
  • Rated power: 840W
  • Water consumption: 4.5L
  • Dimension (WDH): 17.7217.3218.03 inches (454445.8 cm)
  • Weight (N.W.): 13.5 KGS
  • Drying method: Hot air drying
  • Water pressure (automatic mode): 0.03Mpa~1.0Mpa

The internal structure includes a water tank cover, control panel, spray arm, inner glass door, handle, filter screen, filter, and top spray. The dish rack is designed to accommodate various items, including deep plates, shallow plates, rice bowls, noodle bowls, mugs, chopsticks, sauce boats, spoons, and table spoons.

Usage Features

Installation: The dishwasher is designed for countertop placement. It requires a minimum height clearance of 500mm and a distance of over 50mm on all four sides. It should be kept away from gas stoves or other heat sources (over 300mm). The drainage pipe connects to an outlet and must not be immersed in water. The water inlet pipe connects to a threaded G3/4 water tap, ensuring it is fastened securely. Before connecting, it's recommended to run water through new pipes to clear impurities.

Operation:

  1. Switching ON: Close the door, press the "Power" button, then select the desired wash mode using the program buttons. The screen will display the remaining time. Press "Pause/Start" to begin the program.
  2. Adding Detergent: Detergent specifically intended for dishwashers must be used and refilled before each wash cycle, as there is no automatic dispenser.
  3. Loading Dishes: Remove larger food particles from dishes before loading to prevent filter clogging. For baked-on food, pre-soaking is recommended. Place difficult-to-clean items on the rack as shown in the manual, ensuring serving dishes and lids are placed on the sides to avoid blocking the spray arm. Pots and serving bowls should be placed face down. Silverware should be placed in the basket with handles at the bottom, and long utensils horizontally. Knives and sharp utensils must be loaded with points down or horizontally.
  4. End of Program: Six beeps indicate the end of the wash cycle, and the dishwasher will turn off. After a few minutes, open the door, turn off the water tap, and remove cooled dishes.
  5. Interrupting/Modifying a Cycle: To interrupt, open the door (carefully, as water may squirt out) and press "Pause/Start." To modify, press the "Power" button to cancel current settings, then press "Power" again to switch on and choose a new wash mode. If detergent was already used, it must be refilled.

Safety Cautions:

  • Do not use if damaged during transport; contact customer service.
  • Ensure proper earthing of domestic wiring.
  • Do not connect via extension cables.
  • Power supply cord must not be bent or flattened.
  • Not for outdoor installation or exposure to rain/elements.
  • Do not place heavy objects or water containers on top.
  • Water inside is not for drinking.
  • Do not use solvents inside.
  • Open door carefully during operation to avoid water squirting.
  • Do not touch heating element during or after a wash cycle.
  • Do not touch when barefoot or with wet hands.
  • Disconnect from power supply for maintenance or malfunction.
  • Supervise children and keep detergents out of reach.
  • In case of malfunction, turn off water, disconnect plug, and consult "Fault finding" section or service center.
  • Only qualified personnel should perform repairs.
  • Use original spare parts.
  • Dispose of old appliances properly by cutting the power cord and removing the door.

Maintenance Features

Keeping the Dishwasher in Shape:

  • After Every Wash: Turn off the water supply and leave the door slightly ajar to prevent moisture and odors.
  • Remove the Plug: Always remove the plug before cleaning or maintenance.
  • Cleaning Exterior and Rubber Parts: Use only a cloth and warm soapy water. Avoid solvents or abrasive cleaning products.
  • Cleaning Interior: Use a cloth dampened with water and a little vinegar, or a dishwasher-specific cleaning product.
  • Seals: Periodically clean seals with a damp sponge to prevent odors caused by trapped food.
  • Holiday Care: Run an empty wash cycle, remove the plug, turn off water supply, and leave the door slightly ajar to prevent odors and prolong seal life.

Overall Condition of Appliance: Regularly check for grease or scale accumulation inside. Clean with a detergent solution if deposits are found.

Filter and Spray Arm Maintenance:

  • Filters (6 and 7): These prevent large food particles from reaching the pump. After washing, check filters for food particles and clean if necessary. Remove coarse micro-filter 7, then filter unit 6. Rinse under running water and reinsert.
  • Spray Arms: Lime and food remnants can block nozzles. Inspect for blocked holes, pull the lower arm upwards to remove, clean under running water, and refit.

Fault Finding: The manual provides a table of common problems and their possible reasons, along with remedies. Error codes are displayed on the time-remaining indicator:

  • E1 (Inlet abnormity): Possible inlet/outlet valve problem, flow meter problem, submersible pump problem, or water shortage (if the water shortage indicator light is on and water isn't added within 4 minutes).
  • E2 (Temperature sensor alarm): Temperature sensor connected improperly or broken.
  • E4 (Heating alarm): Heater or temperature sensor problem.
  • E5 (Communication): Communication problem.
  • Faucet indicator light (No water inlet): No enough water in water tank.

Other issues covered include water remaining inside after a program, unusual foam during washing, appliance stopping suddenly, knocking sounds from spray arms or inlet valves, and food remnants on dishes/cutlery. For most problems, the manual suggests user-level solutions before recommending contacting a qualified specialist.
