Usage Features
The fireplace offers several control options for operation:
- Thermostat Control Knob (TEMPERATURE SETTING): Used to adjust and maintain the desired room temperature.
- Flame Switch: Controls the flame effect and powers the unit on/off.
- Heating Settings:
- Pressing the "I" button activates 1000W heating.
- Pressing both "I" and "II" buttons simultaneously activates 2000W heating (the "I" button must be pressed first).
- Flame Dimmer Control: Adjusts the intensity of the flame effect.
The manual emphasizes several safety precautions for proper usage:
- Indoor Use Only: The product is not suitable for outdoor use.
- Ventilation: Do not block the fireplace vent to prevent overheating and fire hazards.
- Clearance: Maintain at least one meter of distance from furniture, curtains, and other flammable materials.
- Power Cord: Do not place the power cord in front of the fireplace.
- Surface: Not recommended for use on any type of carpet or rug.
- Grounding: The product must be connected to the ground.
- Placement: Do not place the heater directly below a socket outlet or in the immediate surroundings of a bath, shower, or swimming pool.
- Supervision: Can be used by children aged eight years and above, and persons with disabilities or without experience, under guided supervision, provided they understand the potential risks. Children aged three to eight years may only switch it on/off if placed in its intended position and supervised/instructed.
- Covering: Do not cover the heater to avoid overheating.
- Thermal Cutout: To avoid inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, the appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device (e.g., a timer) or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
- Room Temperature Control: The heater is not equipped with a device to control room temperature. Do not use it in small rooms occupied by persons unable to leave on their own, unless constant supervision is provided.
- Hot Surfaces: Some parts of the product can become very hot and cause burns; particular attention must be given when children and vulnerable people are present.
Maintenance Features
- Cleaning:
- Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
- Clean the exterior with a damp or dry cloth.
- Do not use petroleum or any other detergent or chemical solvent.
- Storage: When not in use for a while, store in a clean, dry place, away from dust and dirt.
- Overheating Safety Device Reset: If the heater stops working, turn it off and check for blocked inlets/outlets. Unplug the unit and wait at least 10 minutes for the protection system to reset. If it still doesn't work, contact customer service. Ensure it has been unplugged for at least 10 minutes before restarting.
- Damaged Supply Cord: If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.
- Disposal: Waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste. Recycle where facilities exist and check with local authorities or retailers for recycling advice.
