What to do if HomComfort stove will not feed pellets due to motor issues?
    • B
      Beth GraySep 9, 2025
If your HomComfort stove won't feed pellets, the auger motor might be bad. Remove the two retaining screws in the service panel and swing it out of the way. Remove the auger motor from the auger shaft and try to run the unit. If the motor turns, the shaft is jammed. If the motor doesn't turn, the motor is likely bad.

How to fix HomComfort Grill that enters shutdown mode unexpectedly due to convection blower overheating?
    • S
      Stephanie ReynoldsAug 25, 2025
If your HomComfort Grill enters shutdown mode unexpectedly, it might be because the convection blower is overheating and triggering the internal temperature shutoff. Try cleaning any dust from the blower's windings and fan blades. If oiling the blower doesn't resolve the issue, the blower itself may be faulty.

If your HomComfort Grill enters shutdown mode unexpectedly on the highest setting, it may be overheating. Operating the grill at the highest heat setting for extended periods can increase room temperature and lead to overheating. Try using a lower heat setting.

If the HomComfort stove feeds pellets but won't ignite, the igniter element may be faulty. To check, apply power directly to the igniter element and observe the tip from the front of the stove. The tip should glow after about 2 minutes. If it doesn't glow, the element is likely bad.
