Install indoors in a temperature-controlled environment, after the water meter, and drain lines before proceeding.
Flush the filter with water for 15 minutes, using a garden hose, to remove carbon fines, followed by surge flushing.
Connect filter housing, pre-filter, distributor, and plumbing lines using appropriate connectors and compression valves.
Use Teflon tape, install upright, avoid high pressure, use cold water lines, protect from freezing, and comply with codes.
