Why won't my Homecrest CF-12 light?
    • K
      Kendra Long DVMAug 3, 2025
Your Homecrest Indoor Fireplace might not light due to a couple of reasons. First, check if your LP (propane) tank is empty or if the natural gas isn't turned on. Refill the tank or check the natural gas valve. Another possibility is a plugged burner orifice. Inspect it for any blockages and remove them.

What to do if Homecrest Indoor Fireplace flames are low or won't stay lit?
    • P
      Peter HodgeAug 9, 2025
If the flames are low or won't stay lit on your Homecrest Indoor Fireplace, it might be due to the manual shut-off valve (on/off control knob) being open or not installed between the LP tank and the appliance. You should close both the LP tank and manual shut-off valves. Then, open the LP tank valve first, and then the manual shut-off valve.

Why does my Homecrest Indoor Fireplace have blue flames?

      moonderrickAug 15, 2025
Blue flames in your Homecrest Indoor Fireplace might be due to an improper air/fuel mixture related to the air shutter position. Try closing the air shutter. For LP, leave it 1/4" open; for natural gas, adjust to be closed.

Why is my Homecrest Indoor Fireplace making metallic noises?
    • L
      Laura ChaseAug 22, 2025
The metallic noise you hear from your Homecrest Indoor Fireplace is caused by the metal expanding and contracting as it heats up and cools down, similar to the sound produced by a furnace or heating duct. This noise does not affect the operation or longevity of the appliance, so no action is needed.
