This document is a user manual for the hOmeLabs Beverage Cooler, model SKU: HME030065N.
The hOmeLabs Beverage Cooler is an appliance designed for chilling beverages, primarily for household use. It has a capacity of 3.2 cubic feet.
Important Safety Instructions:
Before using the appliance, it is crucial to read all instructions thoroughly. Basic safety precautions must always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury.
- Ventilation: Ensure ventilation openings in the appliance enclosure or built-in structure are clear of obstruction.
- Defrosting: Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
- Storage: Do not store explosive substances, such as aerosol cans with flammable propellant, in the appliance.
- Electrical Connections: Do not use extension cords or ungrounded (two-prong) adapters. When unplugging, firmly grasp the plug, not the power cord. The power plug should always be accessible.
- Intended Use: This appliance is intended for household and similar applications, not for retail or commercial use. It should not be used for anything other than its intended purpose, which is to chill beverages. It is not suitable for storing fresh foods like meats, vegetables, or fruits, nor for blood, drugs, or biological products.
- Children and Supervision: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision and instruction concerning its use by a responsible person. Children should not play with the cooler or its packaging and must be supervised by an adult if using the cooler to avoid injury.
- Placement: Do not place heavy objects on top of the cooler to prevent accidental damage or injury. Avoid placing flammable, explosive, volatile, or highly corrosive items inside the cooler to prevent damage or accidents.
- Power Cord: Do not damage the power cord under any condition.
- Power Socket: Use a dedicated three-hole power socket (15 A or more) that is not shared with other electrical appliances. Ensure the grounding electrode of the power socket has a reliable grounding line.
- Power Supply: The Beverage Cooler uses an AC power supply of 115 V / 60 Hz.
- Gas Leaks: In case of leaking gas, turn off the leaking valve and open doors and windows. Do not unplug the cooler yourself, as it may cause a fire. Contact Customer Support.
- Electrical Devices: For safety, do not place electric devices (e.g., microwaves, electric kettles) on top of the cooler, and do not store the beverage cooler inside pantries.
Before First Use:
To prevent internal damage, keep the unit upright throughout its journey. Leave it standing upright and outside the box for 24 hours before plugging it in.
It is recommended to run the cleaning program (see Maintenance section) prior to making ice for the first time.
Placement:
- Remove all packaging materials, including bottom cushions, foam pads, and tape inside the cooler. Tear off the protective film on the door and cooler body.
- Place the cooler in a well-ventilated, indoor environment on flat, sturdy ground. Rotate left or right to adjust the wheel to level if unstable.
- Allow at least 11.8 inches (30 cm) between the cooler and any stove or furnace for proper ventilation. It is advised to operate this beverage cooler in a room of 133 cubic feet (or larger) for safety.
- Maintain a circulation space of at least 1.5 inches (4 cm) on both sides of the cooler to preserve power.
- Avoid direct sunlight or placing the cooler too close to a heat source. If unavoidable, maintain at least 11.8 inches (30 cm) distance and consider applying an insulation board.
Installation:
- Keep in an upright position for 24 hours before initial power up.
- While the cooler is empty, set the "Temperature Control" to maximum and leave for 1 hour.
- When placing beverages inside, maintain a 1.5 inch (4 cm) gap between the interior wall and the beverages to ensure proper airflow.
- Door Orientation Change: To change the door orientation from left-hinge to right-hinge:
- Use a screwdriver to remove the upper and lower left hinge (triangle with 3 screws).
- Transfer the hinge to the right of the cooler and attach it to the right side of the door.

Operation:
- Display Controls: Upon first turn-on, the display screen will show a full display for 3 seconds, accompanied by a startup tone.
- Standby Mode: To activate "Standby" mode, hold the "Standby" button for 3 seconds. A beep will sound, and the display area will turn off. To deactivate, press the button again; a beep will sound, and the standard display will show.
- Lighting: Press the "Lighting" button to turn the light on or off.
- Temperature Setting:
- Press the "Increase Temperature" button to increase the temperature by one degree at a time.
- Press the "Decrease Temperature" button to decrease the temperature by one degree at a time.
- To change the display from °F to °C, press and hold the "Increase" and "Decrease" buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.
- Memory Function: If turned off, the cooler will remember any settings in place and will operate according to those settings when turned on again.
- Fault Indicators: If any of the following fault codes are displayed, it indicates an issue:
- E1: R room sensor failure
- E4: R room defrost sensor failure
Energy Conservation:
- Place the cooler in a dry and ventilated room, away from direct sunlight or heat sources (radiator, stove, etc.). Use an insulation board if necessary.
- Shorten the time the cooler door is open.
- Avoid putting warm beverages into the cooler.
Maintenance:
- Disconnecting: Unplug the power plug from the socket to disconnect the cooler.
- Cleaning: Regular cleaning of the cooler's interior and exterior (especially behind the cooler) improves cooling efficiency and saves energy, and prevents odors.
- Unplug the cooler.
- Wipe the door seal with warm water.
- Use soap and warm water to clean the cooler.
- Reconnect the cooler when it is clean and dry.
- Note: Do not use hard brushes, wire brushes, abrasives, organic solvents, boiling water, acid, or alkaline items, as these may damage the cooler surface and interior. Do not immerse the beverage cooler in water.
- Defrost:
- Unplug the beverage cooler.
- Remove beverages and cooler contents, placing them properly to prevent melting or spoiling.
- Allow the appliance to defrost naturally at room temperature.
- If any liquid remains after defrosting, wipe the interior with a clean, soft cloth.
- Power on the appliance.
- Allow it to run for 2-3 hours before returning any removed beverages.

hOmeLabs offers a limited two-year warranty ("warranty period") on all products purchased new and unused from hOmeLabs Technologies, LLC or an authorized reseller, with original proof of purchase. The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
- Normal wear and tear
- Abuse, mishandling, accident, or failure to follow operating instructions
- Exposure to liquid or infiltration of foreign particles
- Servicing or modifications by parties other than hOmeLabs
- Commercial or non-household use
The warranty covers costs related to restoring the proven defective product through repair or replacement of any defective part and necessary labor to conform to original specifications. A receipt indicating the purchase date is required for any claim. Product registration at homelabs.com/reg is recommended but not required to activate the warranty. The warranty becomes void if repair attempts are made by non-authorized third parties or if spare parts not provided by hOmeLabs are used.
