Why does my Homeworks Bathroom Fixture faucet leak underneath the handle?
    • W
      Warren GardnerJul 28, 2025
A leak under the handle of your Homeworks Bathroom Fixture faucet may be due to a loose bonnet or a dirty or twisted o-ring on the cartridge. To resolve this: 1. Turn the handle to the OFF position, unscrew the handle screw, and remove the handle. 2. Tighten the bonnet clockwise. Move the cartridge stem to the ON position to see if the leak stops. 3. If it doesn't, shut off the water, remove the bonnet, and lift out the cartridge valve. Inspect the o-rings for debris or twisting. Straighten twisted o-rings. If damaged, you should consider replacing the cartridge by calling customer service. 4. Reposition the cartridge in the faucet body, ensuring the ridges fit into the grooves. Tightly screw the bonnet onto the faucet body. 5. Reinstall the handle.

Inspect the rubber valve seat for debris or brass scrap; remove any found. If the seat is stuck, gently push it with a fingertip to ensure smooth movement. The spring (smaller end up) must be placed back underneath the valve seat. If the rubber valve seat is worn out or broken, replace the cartridge by calling customer service. 4.
