Why is my Homeworks Fan so loud?

There are several reasons why your Homeworks Fan might be louder than expected: * The CFM might be too great for the room's square footage. Ensure the CFM rating matches the room size. * The damper could be damaged or malfunctioning. Check if it opens and closes correctly; if damaged, contact Customer Service. * A sharp bend in the duct might be too close to the fan discharge. Ensure there are no sharp bends within 18 inches of the fan discharge. * The fan discharge might be reduced to fit a smaller duct. Use the recommended ducting size to reduce noise. * The fan body may not be securely attached. Make sure it's firmly attached to the ceiling joists.
