Remove the spark arrester mounting bolts,
spark arresters and gaskets from the
muffler.
4.
Use a brush to remove carbon deposits
from the spark arrester screen. Be careful
to avoid damaging the spark arrester
screen. The spark arrester must be free of
breaks and holes. Replace, if necessary.
Check the gasket. Replace, if necessary.
5.
Install the gaskets and the spark arresters,
and tighten the spark arrester mounting
bolts.
6.
Install the tail cap and tighten the tail cap
mounting bolts.

Torque: 6.6 lbf·ft (9.0 N·m, 0.9 kgf·m)
Torque: 6.6 lbf·ft (9.0 N·m, 0.9 kgf·m)
