ENGINE DOES NOT STOP WHEN COMBINATION/ ENGINE STOP SWITCH IS TURNED OFF
• Check the engine oil level before troubleshooting.
Check the ignition coil air gap (page 8-5). Adjust the ignition coil air gap.
Check the ignition coil (page 8-6).
Replace the ignition coil if abnormalities are
found, and recheck.

Replace the engine stop switch.
CXS type:
Replace the combination switch.
Check the wire harness connecting the
combination/ engine stop switch and the
ignition coil for open circuit and for proper
connection.
Replace or repair the engine wire harness.
CX type:
Check the engine stop switch (page 10-18).
CXS type:
Check the combination switch (page 10-19).
Check for continuity between the junction box
terminals (page 10-20).
