Squeeze the main clutch lever with
care not to pinch your hand between
the handlebar and main clutch lever.

Operate the main clutch lever smoothly.
If the main clutch lever is operated erratically, the tiller may jump
away or the engine may stop.
When the main clutch lever is released,
the clutch is disengaged and power is
not transmitted to the transmission.
