Usage Features

  • Controls:
    • Ignition Switch: Located on the handlebars, controls engine and headlight operation. Key can be removed only in the OFF position.
    • Engine Stop Switch: Next to the left handgrip, has RUN and OFF positions. Primarily a safety/emergency control.
    • Choke Knob: On the left handlebar, for starting a cold engine (temperatures 10°–35°C). Pull up for fully ON, push down for fully OFF.
    • Starter Button: Below the engine stop switch, used to start the engine when transmission is in neutral, ignition is ON, and engine stop switch is RUN.
    • Starting Primer Knob: On the carburetor float bowl (left side), for starting engine below 15°C (5°F). Push 2-3 times before starting.
    • Recoil Starter: On the right side, for starting when battery is low.
    • Throttle Lever: Next to the right handgrip, operated by thumb. Spring tension automatically closes throttle when pressure is released.
    • Headlight & Dimmer Switches: Above engine stop switch. Headlight switch (ON) turns on headlights, dimmer switch selects high or low beam.
    • Reverse Selector Knob: On the rear brake lever. To engage reverse, stop, ensure neutral, push knob in, squeeze rear brake lever, then depress gearshift pedal.
    • Front Brakes: Hydraulic drum brakes, operated by squeezing the front brake lever.
    • Rear Brake: Mechanical drum brake, operated by depressing the brake pedal or squeezing the rear brake lever. The rear brake lever has a lock for parking.
    • Fuel Valve: On the left side of the fuel tank, with OFF, ON, and RES (reserve) positions. Turn OFF when not in use.
  • Multi-function Display: Includes speedometer, odometer/tripmeter, digital clock/hourmeter, and indicators for reverse, neutral, and oil high temperature. Buttons allow selection and adjustment of these functions.
  • Riding Guidelines:
    • Age Recommendation: Minimum 16 years old. Children under 16 should not operate ATVs over 90 cc.
    • Protective Apparel: Always wear an approved motorcycle helmet, eye protection, gloves, boots, long-sleeved shirt/jacket, and long pants.
    • Passengers: Never carry passengers.
    • Alcohol/Drugs: Never operate under the influence.
    • Off-Road Only: Designed for off-road use; never operate on paved surfaces or public roads/highways.
    • Hands/Feet: Keep both hands on handlebars and both feet on footpegs during operation.
    • Speed: Avoid excessive speeds; adjust to terrain, visibility, conditions, and experience.
    • Stunts: Never attempt wheelies, jumps, or other stunts.
    • Unfamiliar Terrain: Go slowly, be alert for changing conditions.
    • Rough/Slippery Terrain: Exercise caution, avoid hard braking/accelerating.
    • Hills: Practice on gentle slopes first. Shift weight forward when climbing, backward when descending. Avoid excessively steep hills.
    • Obstacles: Check for obstacles in new areas. Reduce speed, be prepared to stop.
    • Water: Designed for water up to 250 mm (10 in) deep. Proceed slowly, test brakes after leaving water.
  • Cargo & Towing: Observe weight limits (Max. weight capacity: 220 kg/485 lbs). Cargo must be properly distributed and secured. Reduce speed when carrying cargo or towing. Avoid steep slopes or crossing slopes when towing.

Maintenance Features

  • Pre-Ride Inspection: Daily checks include engine oil level, fuel level, brakes, tires, throttle, headlights, engine stop switch, driveshaft boots, nuts/bolts/fasteners, steering, cargo, underbody/exhaust system, and air cleaner housing drain tube.
  • Tool Kit: Includes standard/Phillips screwdriver, screwdriver handle, 10x12 mm and 14x17 mm open end wrenches, spark plug wrench, pliers, and tool case. Stored in the storage compartment.
  • Fuel System:
    • Refueling: Use unleaded petrol with pump octane number (R+M)/2 of 86 or higher. Avoid overfilling.
    • Petrol with Alcohol: Use gasohol with no more than 10% ethanol. Avoid methanol-containing fuels.
  • Throttle: Check cable condition and free play (3-8 mm at lever tip). Adjust if necessary.
  • Air Cleaner: Clean periodically, more frequently in dusty areas. Drain water from housing if submerged.
  • Carburetor: Check choke cable and knob for damage or kinks.
  • Idle Speed & Air-Fuel Mixture: Adjust when engine is warm. Idle speed: 1,400 ± 100 rpm.
  • Engine Oil: Check daily. Use Honda 4-stroke oil or equivalent (SAE 10W-40 recommended). Change oil and filter according to schedule.
  • Rear Final Gear Case Oil: Change according to schedule. Use HYPOID GEAR OIL SAE 80.
  • Differential Oil: Change according to schedule. Use HYPOID GEAR OIL SAE 80.
  • Spark Plug: Inspect electrodes for wear, check gap (0.8-0.9 mm). Replace if worn or damaged.
  • Valves: Check valve clearance (0.15 mm). Adjustment requires specialized tools and knowledge.
  • Clutch: Check and adjust clutch free play.
  • Reverse Lock System: Check and adjust reverse assist lever free play (2-4 mm).
  • Brakes:
    • Front Brakes: Check lever free play (25-30 mm), lining thickness (standard 4.0 mm, limit 1.0 mm), and fluid level (DOT 3 or 4).
    • Rear Brake: Check pedal free play (15-20 mm), lever free play (15-20 mm), and shoe wear.
    • Draining Water: Remove inspection hole plug (front) and drain bolt (rear) to check for water after riding in water.
  • Wheels and Tyres:
    • Removal/Installation: Follow specific procedures for wheel removal and tightening wheel nuts (64 N·m / 47 lbf·ft) in a crisscross pattern.
    • Tyre Pressure: Check frequently when cold. Use low-pressure tubeless tires.
    • Tread Condition: Minimum tread depth 4 mm (0.16 in).
    • Repairing Flat Tyres: Use plug method for temporary repair; have permanently repaired by authorized dealer.
  • Seat Removal: Pull seat lock lever to remove.
  • Engine Guard & Skid Plates: Check for cracks, damage, or looseness.
  • Spark Arrester: Periodically purge accumulated carbon.
  • Driveshaft Boots: Check for damage or leaking grease.
  • Storage: For extended storage, change oil/filter, drain fuel tank/carburetor, remove/charge battery, wash/wax, inflate tires, and place on blocks.
