15. VKA/VLA types only:
Install the drive pulley, belt guide, blade holder and a new
set of blades, and then tighten the center special bolt and
two blade bolts to the specified torque (P. 4 - 4
).
Be sure the blade holder Woodruff key is properly
installed, and properly tighten the blade holder bolt.
Failure to do so will result in blade holder bolt failure that
can cause the blade holder to come off.
VYA type only:
Install a new set of blades and then tighten the two blade
bolts to the specified torque (P. 4 - 6
).
Wear a pair of thick leather gloves and hold the blades with your hand to prevent the blades from turning when
tightening the bolts.
TORQUE: 54 N•m (40 ft-lb)
16. Remove the strap holding the flywheel brake lever to the
handlebar (if applicable), and then reinstall the spark plug
and spark plug cap (P. 3 -8
).
17. Fill the engine with fresh engine oil and gasoline and test
for proper operation (P. 3 - 6
).
