NOTE: If the mower will be stored for longer than 3 months, remove the
spark plug and pour three tablespoonsful of clean motor oil into the
cylinder. Pull the starter rope slowly two or three times to distribute the oil.
Replace the plug.

Removal from Storage
1. Remove the spark plug; check that it is clean and properly gapped (p.
29). Pull the starter rope several times.
2. Thread the spark plug in by,hand until it seats, then use the plug wrench
to tighten l/8 to l/4 turn further.
3. Check the engine oil level and condition.
4. Fill the fuel tank and start the engine.
NOTE: If the cylinder was coated with oil, the engine will smoke at start
up; this is normal.
