Engine Starting procedure
Start the engine by following the
procedures in the sequence listed
below.
(1) . Switch the fuel cock lever to the
ON position.
(2) For starting a cold engine, raise
the choke lever.
(3) Set the engine disengaging clutch
lever to the ON position (vertical
position).
(4) Mount the motorcycle, hold down the decompression lever © with the
thumb and start pedalling. When a speed of approximately 5kph (3mph)
is reached, twist the throttle grip approximately 1/4 open and then release
the decompression lever, the engine should start.
(5) Once the engine starts and is operating smoothly, stop pedalling and
gradually open the throttle by twisting the grip inward to increase the
speed.
