Configuration  Description 
Mode 
There are two modes: STATIC and DHCP. 
•  The IP address, subnet mask, and gateway is inactive and not 
configurable when you select the DHCP mode to automatically 
search for the IP address. 
•  If you select STATIC mode, then you need to manually configure the 
IP address, subnet mask, and gateway. 
•  If you select DHCP mode, then you can only view the IP address, 
subnet mask, and gateway. You cannot configure these values. 
•  If you switch from the DHCP mode to the static mode, then you 
need to reset the IP parameters. 
•  • The IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DHCP are read-only 
values when the PPPoE dial is OK. 
MAC Address  Displays the MAC address. This field is not configurable. 
MTU  Use the default MTU (maximum transmission unit) value. 
IP Version 
Select the IP version, either IPv4 or IPv6. 
You can use either version to access the camera’s IP address. 
IP Address 
1. Use your PC’s keyboard to enter the IP address. 
2. Set the Subnet mask and Default gateway. 
Subnet Mask  If you selected the STATIC mode, then enter a Subnet Mask value. 
Default Gateway  If you selected the STATIC mode, then enter a Default Gateway value. 
Preferred DNS  Enter the DNS IP address. 
Alternate DNS  Enter an alternate DNS IP address.
