What to do if my Honeywell HUL585 power light is on but there is no mist?
    • B
      billyromeroJul 29, 2025
If the Honeywell Humidifier power light is on, but little to no mist is being released, first ensure the water tank is filled. Then, increase the power output using the power knob or touchpad. Check that the adapter is fully plugged into the port on the back of the humidifier. Clean the nebulizer, following the cleaning instructions. Also, verify that all components are installed properly. This issue can also occur if the reservoir has been overfilled; remove the tank, pour the water out of the reservoir, and replace the tank.

Why is my Honeywell HUL585 Humidifier leaking from the base?
    • L
      Leslie McdonaldAug 5, 2025
If water is leaking from the base, reservoir, or tank sides of your Honeywell Humidifier, ensure the float rod is properly placed on the brackets. Check the plunger for damage, and if damaged, contact Consumer Relations. Make sure the plunger is moving freely. Inspect the tank for cracks; if cracked, contact Consumer Relations. Also, check for any foreign material stuck under the tank gasket by pushing and releasing the plunger system at the sink to allow water to flow. If the tank has been filled past the MAX fill level, remove some water and realign the float paddle by placing the float rod over both brackets.

Why is water not draining into the reservoir of my Honeywell HUL585?
    • M
      Mark GomezAug 14, 2025
If the water is not draining into the reservoir of your Honeywell Humidifier, the plunger may be clogged. Rinse it by spraying water towards the plunger, then swish water in the tank and dump it out. The plunger might also be stuck; add a small amount of water and push and release the plunger to ensure water can flow freely. Check if the float paddle is installed correctly by placing the float rod over both brackets. If you are using a demineralization cartridge, uninstall it, shake it a few times, and reinstall it.

Why does my Honeywell HUL585 make dripping sounds?

The Honeywell Humidifier may make noticeable dripping sounds because the machine is stabilizing. No action is required, as the noise level will decrease on its own.
